Did not upgrade back to a paying monthly service that they bombed me with since I already have what they offered, security software, etc and for years for paying them for something that was free (my fault). Now, I'm back on the outside, & wasting time with them.

Since they shut me out unless I pay for their "Gold" service, I have to access thru internet explorer, lost my fav places, have to repeat multiple strokes, etc. Is this a strategy by Verizon to lose the AOL customers for a co that they purchased? Can't figure it out. Been with AOl over 20 yrs...

wanted to leave a few years ago but wife convinced me to stay.

Time to get serious and do it......boy did Verizon get screwed on this purchase. Did Verizon really think that everyone would jump back to a paying service model when all they offered extra was "fluff".
