I work with a small business and for some reason we use AOL even though it's ancient and obviously causes a million issues. Well we find that we can't login to our email We called the first aol help line we could find, and found that our email was taken over, and they requested $300.00 to get security and get the email back.
One of our older gullible employees bought it, we got our email back for one day, then turns out it was hacked yet again and the $300.00 was a scam. Don't understand how this happened, but if you call an AOL hotline and they ask you for money for your security, just hang up.
